First Do No Harm (1997): the first “Keto”movie.

.First Do No Harm is a 1997 made for TV movie starring Meryl Streep and directed by Jim Abrahams. First Do No Harm is about a young boy whose severe epilepsy, unresponsive to medication, is eventually controlled by the ketogenic diet. Parts of the story reflect Abrahams’ own experience with his son, Charlie.

Charlie quickly recovered and in 1994, Jim Abrahams created an educational foundation called The Charlie Foundation for Ketogenic Therapies. Known as The Charlie Foundation for short, the foundation provides information about diet therapies for people with epilepsy, other neurological disorders, and select cancers.
